Mary Applewhite
Mary began her career in the insurance industry in 1990 with a local Property and Casualty agency managing the life and health department. In 1997, she was employed by Northwestern Mutual Life as an Employee Benefits Specialist. She joined Brown & Brown Flagship in 2003 as a Senior Account Executive.
Mary’s 16 years of employee benefits knowledge and experience to include sales, marketing and exceptional customer service, has promoted growth and retention as a Senior Account Executive in Brown & Brown Flagship’s Benefits Department. She is also an active member of Brown & Brown Flagship’s Management Team as the Benefits Department Manager.
Mary was an active participate in the Norfolk Association of Insurance Women from 1992-1997. She has successfully completed courses and continues to progress toward her LUTC designation. Mary is currently an active member of the Eastern Virginia Health Underwriters Association.
Mary is married to Scott and resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. She had two daughters, Heather and Ashlyn. Mary enjoys spending time with her family as well as attending various social and sporting events.
