Marilyn W. Jobe
Marilyn Jobe is an Account Executive/Producer with Brown & Brown Flagship.
Marilyn has been affiliated with the insurance industry since 1974. She was an Executive Secretary to the President of an independent insurance agency and assisted in bookkeeping. That same year Marilyn took the position of Insurance Account Secretary in Personal Lines and obtained her insurance license from the State of Virginia. From 1975 to 1977 Marilyn worked for a medium-sized agent as a Customer Service Representative working with professional liability, malpractice and commercial lines coverage’s. Marilyn took some time away from full-time employment from 1977 to 1984, but did keep abreast of the insurance industry by working part-time for insurance firms. In 1984, she returned to the insurance field full-time as a Producer selling and servicing Life & Health coverage for an independent agency. In 1987, she serviced commercial lines insurance accounts for a medium-sized agent, then in 1988 Marilyn transferred to a local agent and continued her work in the Property & Casualty field. Marilyn joined the Flagship team in 1989 as an Account Assistant in the Ocean Marine Department. She is responsible for managing, in all areas, a book of business for fishing vessels, ocean marine, and property and casualty accounts.
Marilyn has been involved with both SEVA and NAIW in her 32 years in the insurance field. She served as 1st Vice President and Chairman of Education, and has chaired and worked on the committees such as Laws and Regulations, Ways and Means, Safety Director, and the State Convention. She also served three years on the Broad of Directors at the local level. She has earned the CISR, CPIW designations and is currently working toward attaining the CIC professional designation.
Marilyn resides with her husband Stephen in Chesapeake, Virginia.
