David McIlravy
David is a Producer with the Brown & Brown Flagship and focuses on marine related risks such as Hull & P&I, Commercial Fishing Vessels, Marine General Liability, Ship Repairers, Terminal Operators, and Cargo. He also has the ability to place coverage for non-marine related exposures and risks.
David started in the insurance industry as an ocean marine underwriter for St. Paul Travelers in Chicago and then transferred to Philadelphia. David received his B. S. from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY where he also earned his Third Mate USCG Unlimited Tonnage license. David is currently an LTJG in the United States Navy Reserve Merchant Marine Ready Reserve. He is a member of The Propeller Club of Norfolk, Virginia Maritime Association, Virginia Ship Repairers Association and Kings Point Alumni Hampton Roads Chapter.
Born in Bethesda, MD Naval Hospital and resides in Virginia Beach, Va with his wife Danielle and daughter Kalli.
